In 2011, St. Albert Theatre Troupe was formed by a group of artists and began a community dinner theatre (St. Albert Dinner Theatre). After 27 productions, the troupe became defunct on the precipice of the COVID pandemic. In July of 2021, the mantel of St. Albert Dinner Theatre was resumed, and St. Albert Dinner Theatre Society (SADT) was founded. As it did before the pandemic, performances are held at the Kinsmen Banquet Centre in St. Albert.
Community theatre enriches the lives of those who take an active part in it, as well as those in the community who benefit from live theatre productions. Onstage or backstage, those involved represent a diversity of age, culture, life experience, and a strong appreciation of the importance of the arts.
St. Albert Dinner Theatre is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to enrich, educate and entertain our community by providing a superior theatre experience.
